Ministries At Our Church:
The Giving Place
The Giving Place is St. John United Methodist Church’s food pantry. We give out items to those in need (once per month per person in need). The Giving Place is open each Tuesday and Thursday from 9am – 1pm. If you need to contact us about The Giving Place, please contact the church office.
United Methodist Women (UMW)
The United Methodist Women (UMW) of St. John United Methodist Church meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 6pm. Each month, our United Methodist Women (UMW) have a different mission project, to provide supplies to a different organization in the community.
On Tuesdays, St. John United Methodist Church’s visitation team visits those in our church family who are shut-ins, are sick, or anyone wanting a visit. Our visitation team is composed of church members that volunteer their time.
Ride to Worship Services
St. John United Methodist Church will give anyone a ride to and from worship services who needs it on our church van. If you wish to utilize this ministry, please contact the church office by Tuesday at 12pm for Wednesday Children/Youth Bible Study, and by Friday at 12pm for Sunday School & Morning Worship.
Outreach In Our Community:
St. John hosts a community basketball league during the months of January and February in the Christian Life Center. This league is for ages K-6th grade.
The Help Center
The Help Center is a place where members of local churches volunteer to help those in need in the Shoals area. St. John United Methodist Church has several members that volunteer at the Help Center.
